Boutinot

Boutinot Ltd. was founded in 1980 by Paul Boutinot. During the 1970s, Paul was frustrated by the quality level of wines available in the UK to sell in his parents’ restaurant, so took matters into his own hands. Followed by a purchase of a winery and vineyards above the village of Cairanne in 2010, Domaine Boutinot’s seven vineyards are planted with classic Southern Rhône varieties: old vine Grenache Noir and Syrah, Mourvèdre and the more traditional Carignan Noir.

A blend of Malbec and Argentina's second widely grown variety Bonarda. The nose offers an appealing, mixed spice, explosive fruit bomb of ripe dark fruit, followed by dark chocolate, herbs and savoury notes on the palate with smooth tannin.
