Located in the southern part of Priorat, winery Celler de Capçanes was founded in 1933. In the mid-1990s, the winery reached an agreement with the Jewish community of Barcelona to produce a non-pasteurised kosher wine employing the Lo Mebushal method. Hence, Celler de Capçanes is now known around the world for producing high-quality Kosher wines with great passion and professionalism.

Tasting Note:
Bright light tile tones, that denote a good evolution and oak barrel ageing. A very expressive and traditional wine with overripe fruit, raisins, figs, soft notes of bitter almond aromas. Unctuous palate; its alcohol content and acidity give it a good balance. A part of the grape must be fortified with alcohol up to 15% vol. (none of the grape musts is fermented). After ageing in barrels for 24 months, it is clarified, filtered, and then bottled.

Tasting Note:
The same day of the picking the olives are taken to the mill, where the leaves and other scraps are separated, the olives are washed and grinded using a hammer mill. After it macerated for 1.5hr in a low temperature and the solid part and the liquid is separated. The liquid is put into a centrifuge to separate off the water. The olive oil is then stored in stainless steel tanks. At last before bottling a soft filtering is done.
Medium-high intensity, green and fruity. On flavor we can find the typical aromas of arbequina variety, freshly cut grass, tomato, almonds and green walnuts. In taste it’s pleasantly, quite spicy and sweet, with slight bitterness and astringency. It’s well balanced.
