Timorasso 'Derthona' 2020
Tasting Note:
An enticing nose of elderflower and pink grapefruit is constantly evolving in the glass. A light, creamy Burgundy character comes through in the mouth – full-bodied with good acidity that shows plenty of fruit character and a mineral backbone.
Type: White Wine
Grape Variety: Timorasso 100%
Alcohol Content: 13%
Volume: 750 ml
Timorasso Cru 'Costa del Vento' 2019
Tasting Note:
The Costa del Vento is the name of the first vineyard that Walter planted with Timorasso; the first bottling was in 1997. Made from old vines, which add depth and complexity, it offers a rich bouquet of herbs and peaches. Rich and fruity in the mouth, the palate is luxurious and expansive with dried fruit, stone fruit, floral notes and sublime balance. The finish is spicy and shows fine mineral notes.
Type: White Wine
Grape Variety: Timorasso 100%
Alcohol Content: 14.5%
Volume: 750 ml
Timorasso Cru 'Sterpi' 2018
Tasting Note:
The Sterpi together with Costa del Vento are the top crus from Vigneti Massa. Sterpi come from younger vines but the main difference with his “brother” Costa is due to the soil. Here the soil is stony-calcareous, this gives to timorasso grape a unique character and sharp minerality. Like Costa only 5.000 bottles produced every year, a rarity among rarities!
Type: White Wine
Grape Variety: Timorasso 100%
Alcohol Content: 14.5%
Volume: 750 ml
Timorasso Cru 'Montecitorio' 2018
Tasting Note:
From a single eastern-facing vineyard in the village of Monleale, Montecitorio comes from a cooler site, and so its first vintage (2010) had appeared to produce wines that fall in between Costa del Vento and Sterpi — i.e., more mineral than the former and richer than the latter. Timorasso is one of the longest-aging white varieties in Italy.
Type: White Wine
Grape Variety: Timorasso 100%
Alcohol Content: 14.5%
Volume: 750 ml
Barbera 'Sentieri' 2020
Tasting Note:
There is no oak aging in ‘Sentieri’ but only in stainless steel tanks, no filtration, no added yeasts like other wines from Walter production. The result is a very fresh Barbera with a lot of fruits on the nose, especially raspberry, cherry – more red than black fruits. Fresh and crispy, a perfect red wine for summertime too!
Type: Red Wine
Grape Variety: Barbera 100%
Alcohol Content: 13.5%
Volume: 750 ml
Barbera 'Monleale' 2011
Tasting Note:
“The 2011 Barbera Monleale is in a gorgeous spot right now where it is just beginning to enter the early plateau of its maturity. Scents of tobacco, worn-in leather, dried cherry and incense add striking aromatic nuance. Powerful and dense on the palate, the 2011 offers a captivating interplay of rich fruit from the warm dry year and the slightly mature notes that have developed in bottle. This is such a joy to taste.”

Barbera 'Bigolla' 2003/04/05
Tasting Note:
Aged in French oak for 18-22 months, this is a supreme example of the often overlooked Barbera grape. Plush and opulent in the mouth, it borders on the hedonistic with lashings of jammy black fruit, dark cherries, spice, pepper, forest floor, and savory overtones. Seemingly immortal, even from this vintage.
Type: Red Wine
Grape Variety: Barbera 100%
Alcohol Content: 14.5%

Freisa 'L'Avvelenata' 2019

Freisa is an ancient variety related to Nebbiolo. This is Freisa is vinified dry (and still), with ageing in 31 glass “damigiana “(54 liter large glass demijohns).
